Music Technology Product Specialist – Basingstoke Store

37.5.hours per week ( including Saturdays)

We are looking for a dynamic sales person with a specialist knowledge of music technology. The right person must have a polite manner and ideally have a retail/customer service background. At Dawsons Music we expect our sales staff to be polite, professional, approachable to all people and a team player.

It is a requirement of the role that our sales staff are knowledgeable about the products we sell. We are looking for somebody who has the ability to demonstrate musical instruments and possesses a strong commercial awareness of the music industry.

Salary: Basic + commission + staff discount.

Keyboard Teacher For Our Reading Store

We are recruiting a keyboard teacher for our Yamaha Music School in Reading

If you are a good musician and have a real affinity with children, this is the job for you!

Above all, you will need an enthusiastic and outgoing personality as well as the ability to play to grade 7/8, or equivalent, and be available to teach on weekday evenings and on Saturdays.

You will become part of a national network of teachers with free continual professional development, training and support.

Member of our Ecommerce Support Team

37.5 hours per week

We are currently completely reorganising our three websites and have a vacancy for someone with good music knowledge and good computer skills. You will be one of a team of three people responsible for all our ecommerce activity and will be involved with all aspects of making our ecommerce business a success. We are currently experiencing huge growth in our business and you will be joining the fastest growing part of the company.p> Key Responsibilities

  1. Creating and updating descriptions on our website within SEO rules
  2. Locating and uploading appropriate product images for the same
  3. Producing competitor reports to identify commercial opportunities
Key Skills
You will need to be proficient in the following, and have a formal qualification, and examples of your current work:
  • Dreamweaver
  • Flash
  • Photoshop
  • HTML coding
  • FTP programs
  • MS Office including Excel and Outlook

A knowledge of musical instruments would be a distinct advantage to the applicant, since the role involves categorising and identifying various different types of musical equipment.

The role is full-time and will be based at our Warrington Support Centre.

Salary is dependent on experience and the individual and consists of: Basic + staff discount
