LED Touch Faders
Giving you unprecedented control is the Akai MAX49 Controller Keyboard’s four banks of eight faders; giving you a total of 32 assignable parameters. Unique to this controller these LED touch faders can be used in the traditional way, by putting your finger in the relevant place and dragging it up or down to fit. How it differs, however, is that it gives you the ability to jump between zero and max, or any place in between, with one touch.
MPC Pads
The Akai MAX49 Keyboard Controller’s four banks of 12 MPC pads give you a massive 48 assignable pads. Backlit and velocity-sensitive, these pads offer fantastic live and recording production possibilities. They also offer a plethora of tools, which alongside navigation, include: MPC Swing, Note Repeat & Full Level.
Connectivity
The Akai MAX 49 Controller Keyboard comes properly prepared for taking control of technology from as far back as the ‘60s right up to today with USB MIDI connectivity, traditional 5-pin DIN MIDI and Control Voltage and Gate outputs. The keyboard even has built-in Mackie Control and HUI protocols for compatibility with most DAWs.
Layout
The Akai MAX49’s keyboard itself will make professionals right at home with 49 semi-weighted keys with Aftertouch offering excellent response. Everything is laid out to be right at hand when you need it, with transport controls taking centre stage and rubberised pitch and modulation wheels at the far left.
The Akai MAX49 Controller Keyboard also features an expanded Arpeggiator with Latch button and eight time divisions. Helping the whole process run smoother is a built-in step sequencer.
AkaiConnect Automatic-Mapping Software
With AkaiConnect software coming with the Akai MAX49 Controller Keyboard using the controller with your DAW and VSTs is simple. AkaiConnect allows you to assign software elements to the desired knob, pad, fader or button on the Akai MAX49 by simply clicking on the element and then onto the relevant control. It’s that simple.
