The Akai MPC Renaissance is the hardware/software powerhouse you’ve been waiting for.

Controls

True to form the Akai MPC Renaissance is absolutely crammed with controls and connectivity options. The centrepiece of any MPC is apparent with 16 backlit pads at the forefront of the controller’s design, with an angled backlit LCD screen displaying all the important production information right from the unit. Off to the left are 16 Q-link controls, along with a full offering of classic MPC transport controls, MPC Note Repeat and MPC Swing.

Connectivity

The Akai MPC Renaissance Controller is armed with a massive collection of inputs and outputs to cater for even the most complicated set up. From the off the controller features a two-port USB hub along with two 5-pin MIDI ins and four MIDI outs, Stereo ¼” out, Stereo assignable mix ¼” out, S/PDIF In & Out, switchable Phono/Line in and dual balanced XLR combo inputs with phantom power.

Computer Integration

Being designed with producers for producers, the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller is instinctive to use, with no complicated learning curve. Seamlessly integrated with your computer’s keyboard and mouse, working between the controller and the monitor is easy but for instant changes the backlit pop-up screen offers all the essentials right from the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller.

By utilizing the RAM, harddrive and installed software of your computer the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller is seemingly limitless in its abilities as a creative tool. Hook it up to your computer DAW and plug-ins and you can trigger drums, loops, chops and samples with the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller’s pads in real-time.

What’s more the MPC software can take work created in previous MPCs, along with any programs and samples, and use them with the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller. The Renaissance can also handle up to 8 pad banks: more than has ever been available on an MPC.

Vintage Mode

For those who love the MPCs of the past and aren’t sold on Akai’s new direction the Akai MPC Renaissance Controller caters, with the inclusion of a Vintage Mode button allowing you to switch between MPC3000, MPC60 and Other settings. These three options change the characteristics of the output to give you the much-loved sound of the past.
