The Akai MPC Studio Controller takes all the power and functionality of the MPC series, combines it with bespoke software for pairing up with your laptop or computer (Mac/PC), and crams it into a unit that’s truly portable.
The portability of the Akai MPC Studio Controller is no idol boast. The tough (but good looking) brushed aluminium body of the controller measurers just under an inch in depth and sports low-profile controls. Despite its slimline body and weighing in at under a kilo (0.89kg) the Akai MPC Studio Controller still packs 16 backlit MPC pads and touch-sensitive & rotary controls.
With the same MPC software that comes supplied with the flagship MPC Renaissance, the Akai MPC Studio Controller offers the highly regarded MPC workflow and the power of your computer, in a unit that will easily fit alongside your laptop for a full on-the-go studio.
Mac and PC-compatible, the MPC software itself can be used as either a plug-in or as a standalone programme. It means business as well, offering 128-track sequencing and a sound library of over 6GB! This is comprised of a mass of new sounds, along with all the favourites of the MPC3000. Connected to your computer via USB the LCD screen on the Akai MPC Studio Controller displays all the essential information from the software so you don’t have to pull your eyes from the controller.
