True to its name the Alto ZMX52 ZEPHYR Compact Mixer is exactly that; a condensed and ultra-portable mixer with enough inputs and outputs to cater for smaller gigs and studios. If your demands on a mixer aren’t too great then you’ll find this little 5-channel mixer is quick and easy to set up and will do the trick for you without wasting space with unnecessary extras.

The mono channel mic input is Phantom Powered so can be used with all mics (condenser, dynamic or wireless) and features 2-band EQ, Gain, Pan and Level controls. There are 2 stereo channels on the Alto ZMX52 ZEPHYR for instruments and a separate stereo output to send audio to a recorder. A CD/TAPE two-track input is present for plugging in external audio devices, such as an MP3 or CD player.

Whilst being small the Alto ZMX52 ZEPHYR still prides itself on providing a wide dynamic range with the high headroom and low-noise provided by mixers at the top end of the series. The cut down in size and inputs/outputs has not impacted on the quality that you get from this more affordable unit.

The Alto ZMX52 ZEPHYR has been built with the application of the unit at the forefront of the design. Often venues are dimly light so a load of black knobs on a black board isn’t going to help anyone. Alto has seen to it that the ZMX52 has bright, colour-coded knobs so you aren’t left fumbling around in the dark. Peak, output level and power are LED-lit so you know exactly what’s going on at any given time.
