The incredibly popular BA Series Bass Combos is back again with a full redesign, bringing in improved aesthetics, features, and of course, that instantly-recognisable Ampeg tone. Welcome to Version 2!
The smaller BA-108 and BA-110 are ideal for practice just about anywhere. They are lightweight for portability and offer a headphone output for silent practice as well as aux input for playing along with a smartphone or iPad.- Ric Rawlins (musicradar.com)
Small but SmartWith its 20 watts of RMS power pounding through an 8-inch Ampeg Custom8 speaker, the Ampeg BA-108 Bass Amplifier is perxfect for practice and rehearsal applications, an idea supported by the other features of this exceptional little bass amp combo.
Lightweight and compact, this bass amp weighs in at just 12.7Kg/28 lbs, with its dimensions being: 16.8 x 15 x 12 (Inches)/ 427 x 381 x 350 (mm). Another bonus here is the wedge-shape of this version of the Ampeg BA-108, which offers a 60-degree monitoring angle. With that you can place the amp in front of you and have the sound directed straight up at you, giving the perfect listening angle to enjoy the full spectrum of Ampeg sound on offer.
Harness Ampeg’s Tone
Version 2 of the Ampeg BA-108 Bass Amplifier also improves upon the location of the control and feature panel, bring it to the front of the unit for easier access. Here you have the Volume control and a responsive 3-band EQ for detailed carving of your tone. Rather than having two inputs, as per the first version of the amp, this model includes one input combined with a -15dB input pad switch, to easily reduce the input signal by 15dB; accommodating active and high-output pickups.
Designed for Practice
As this has been designed as a practice/rehearsal/studio bass amp, it includes some features that are purpose-designed for that very function. There are two AUX inputs (¼-inch and 1/8-inch), for connecting up your external audio player of choice, and this has its own level control, which sits alongside the 3-band EQ.
There is also a 1/8-inch headphone output, which mutes the speaker when in use, so you can practice silently, so as not to disturb others, or just to isolate yourself for focussed practice.
