The crew at Ashdown have done it again, delivering a superb range of bass amp heads that will blow you away with their tonal versatility, rugged design and incredible raw power! Ashdown spent a considerable length of time consulting with professional musicians to perfect these models, and you can rest assured that whatever style of music you play, the new Rootmaster EVO range has something to meet everyone's demands.
Power and precision on demand
The Rootmaster EVO 500 bass amp head is a working bassist's dream. Built to withstand the rigours of the road and carrying it off with effortless style, the new lightweight and slimline enclosure houses a tonal powerhouse that is desperate to be explored.
The front panel is home to an impressive array of controls that put a huge amount of power at your fingertips. At your disposal is an intricately designed 5-band EQ section that allows you to sculpt and craft your tone to suit the bass guitar you're playing, the environment you're playing in and to fit perfectly alongside the other musicians you're playing with.
Intuitive controls as standard
The simple one-knob compression system allows you to squeeze your signal to get a tightly clipped and snappy response, or a thick, saturated rumble with an incredibly warm tone. The Drive control gives a sweetly overdriven tube-emulated sizzle that can inject a little grit into your signal or full on hot overdrive.
The FS-2 output allows you to control the Drive and Sub Harmonic effects via an external optional footswitch, giving you greater freedom in how you control the amp. effects
The Class-D power section runs highly efficiently, which also contributes to the lower weight of the overall head and allows it run cool in any environment meaning you get more musical volume whilst using less power.
Send and return capability
The rear panel is home to the FX Loop Send and Return connections, allowing you to set up external effects pedals free from the pre and post amp stages to give you greater control over the exact effects you want to use.
The D.I. XLR output delivers a balanced signal, perfect if you want to send a feed straight into a mixing desk for recording, or a live sound desk during a gig. Not only that but a unique Speak On speaker output jack allows you to connect into a live PA desk where an XLR jack isn't available so that all bases are covered.
The Ashdown Rootmaster EVO 500 is testimony to what this legendary company can create and you are guaranteed a consistent standard of excellence with this compact yet feature-rich head unit.
