The Blackstar HT-5R 5W Combo Amplifier is a top-class, lower wattage valve amp with really powerful features for both stage and studio performance. 5 Watts of raw tube power is certainly not quiet when cranked up, and the HT-5C is so much more than a practice amp. The 12" Blackbird 50 custom designed speaker and 1xECC83 and 1x12BH7 valves work together to create an incredibly warm tone, with the major advantage that to run it hot in studio for the best tone doesn't take it to ear-splitting levels so you can even use more sensitive studio mics on this amp. The HT-5R adds stereo reverb (as featured in the HT-Venue Series) to the much acclaimed Blackstar HT-5C combo, while keeping the same vintage tube tone that has put Blackstar on the map
Blackstar has made a major name for itself in the with their patent applied for ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) tone shaping, and their incredible tube preamp pedals. The Blackstar HT-5c combines both of these technologies inside a powerful combo to produce a seriously professional, and seriously versitile range of tones, which makes the price of this amp come as a real surprise considering the strength the amazing quality and all-tube circuitry.
For live control there is a two-button footswich provided that lets you switch between the two channels for clean/distortion transitions. Today almost all sound technicians mic up guitar amps on stage and, if the amp is too loud on stage the sound engineer cannot properly get the best sound. This can mean that your amp doesn't sound its best, but in this case the 5-Watt output power means you can crank it up for the best tone, and get a great mix off-stage too.

Absolutely beautiful! Great tone, the ISF feature is amazing, especially on the British setting!
