The patentapplied - for ISF control takes you from ‘Classic British’ to ‘Modern American’ and anywhere in between and the no compromise speaker emulated output lets you get it all down to tape or disk.
The HT Range of award-winning valve overdrive pedals features true high voltage (300V) circuitry and are packed with innovations and tone. The revolutionary, patent-applied-for tone shaping feature ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) will redefine the tonal expectations of guitarists.
Add to this the no-compromise speaker emulated output and you have the most cost effective way of getting real valve tones direct to disk or tape.
So whether you’re playing live or recording, with the HT Range of pedals you can finally get ‘the sound in your head’.

Thank god I say, a distortion pedal that uses a real tube. In my opinion a tube amp is better than a solid state, so a tube distortion pedal will make any tube or solid-state amp sound amazing.
I’ve used this pedal with many amps and its really great, flexible and powerful. The ISF feature is useful, in essence you can change the sound from emulation an EL34 to a 6L6 tube.
The downside is eventually you will need to change the tube but if you want the best in distortion, you have to go tube. Solid build and has many features and changeable eliminates to make this pedal useful in many pedal board environments
Best distortion pedal on the market

I've been playing guitar for a fair few years now and I've been through my share of amps and tried to get the best possible sound with a hole host of distortion pedals. Just over a year ago got this pedal from the Chester branch of Dawsons after my uncle recommended it. I've never heard a better sound from a pedal and therefore I've never had to change from it!
The thing I like the most is the sheer amount of gain you get with a valve which just blows you away. Also, I love the ISF feature as you can really fine tune your sound along with the 3 band EQ.
In conclusion, I think this is easily THE best pedal for high gain metal playing styles and I can never see myself ever even considering anything else!

To start off this product is great for rock n roll and metal guitarists. Most other pedals ranging from £60-£140 tend to add a thin layer of distortion and you don't really get the same feel as you do from this product.
Depending on the sound you're looking for this product can give you a nice crisp rock n roll American style distortion or a bit more ‘80s Metallica sounding distortion. The pedal also contains an emulated output which can be connected straight into an audio interface which, when recording or performing live, can come in handy. It also contains a silent switch so if you are like me and love changing between your clean and distorted sounds, you'll love this. Very impressed!
More gain than you'll ever need...

This pedal is the best sounding distortion pedal I've ever heard. None of that 'like a tube amp' rubbish, this is pure, unadulterated valve tone with plenty of gain on tap.
Adding this to your clean channel can give you anything from rock/hard rock crunch to heavy metal tones and really acts like a second channel.
Adding this to a crunch channel gives you the sweetest solo tone you'll ever hear with rich harmonics and the power to cut through the din of a band.
More diverse than I first imagined, this pedal is extremely impressive (like the rest of Blackstar's gear) and will improve your playing no end if you play in a band.
