HT Stage 100
The pinnacle of the fantastic HT range from Blackstar, the HT Stage 100 is a 100-watt rock and roll beast that has all the power that you will ever need either on stage or in the studio. For live use, this amp is fitted with full midi switching, which will cope with the demands of even the most complex effects and switching systems. The patented infinite shape function (ISF) is an interactive control that allows you to adjust the response of the tone controls on the amp; this is great for voicing the amp to the particular flavour of amplifier that you like British or American. The excellent digital reverb that is in the amp head is also voice controlled by a bright or dark switch. Master volume amplifiers like this offer greater overall control of the amps channel settings, so you can get the balance right between the three channels on the amp and the master volume controls the overall output of all three, plus the Blackstar HT Stage 100 head is fitted with a power amp presence control. Together with the Blackstar HTV 412 4x12" Celestion loaded cab you have the set up that would keep any rock god happy.

This is MY amp.

Bought one of these today. My goodness, I love it! The sounds that eminate from this amplifier far surpass what you'd expect from an amp in this price range. Blackstar are made by ex-marshall engineers, and are high quality amps. My only niggle with this amp is that the OD1 and OD2 channels share an EQ, but the voicing switches easily allow the two sounds to be separated even more than they already were (assuming you have the gain settings so that they have a similar amount of distortion).
The included footswitch is a nice bonus. I like the fact that you can detach the lead at both ends, as my Vox's footswitch lead broke, and I had to unsolder the wire and resolder it, whereas with this, I can replace the lead very easily and can keep one as back up.
Another nice feature are the resonance, presence and ISF. Resonance and presence allow you to control the sound in different room sizes, and the ISF allows you to change the sound between "American" and "British". To be honest, this just seems to be a control that works like the EQs on Orange amplifiers, bassy and mid driven at one end and then middy and treble at the other. This is a really good control feature, it allows for quick changes to be made to your sound without messing with your main EQ. I've upgraded from a Vox AD100VTH, where you had to program in each channel. This amp allows me to see exactly what settings are on each channel without all the messing about saving and resetting controls.
Overall I really dig this amp, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an amp that is worthy of performing live, and a decent price! It gets a 4/5 purely because of the shared EQ control.
