Another Brick In The Wall – The Amazing Kappa Honoured in Liverpool

Liverpool band The Amazing Kappa were this week honoured by being added to the world-famous Mathew Street Wall.

Their addition means they will keep company with such musical luminaries as: Jimmy Page, The Who and of course The Beatles themselves.

The Amazing Kappa, who are leaving next week to headline the Spirit of Peace and Music Festival in Freeport, Illinois have held a residency at both the Cavern Pub and Club for nearly a decade now. They have released a number of albums along the way, the most recent of which “Taxi for Voltaire?” was produced by US legend Will Schillinger, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Bo Diddley, Carole King and The Beastie Boys to name but a few.  That aside, it is their live set that is the stuff of legend.  Lasting anything up to 4 hours, the band showcases the incredible talents and musicianship of Paul Kappa (Guitar & Vocals), Martin Byrne (Bass) and Tony Smith (Percussion), it really is a spectacle that has to be seen to be believed (visit www.amazingkappa.com for details of upcoming shows).

Paul Kappa will be performing solo in our Liverpool store on Saturday 10th September, where he will be showcasing Farida guitars.  For details of this event please contact the Liverpool store on 0151 709 1455.

So from all at Dawsons, we would like to say a huge “congratulations” to the lads for recognition that is absolutely deserved.
