The third installment of our Spotlight Sessions series features rising stars Fort Hope. Jon and Andé from the band kindly dropped in to our studio and chatted to us about their recent signing, the music industry and their fans amongst other things. They also gave us a great acoustic performance which you can see at 10:08 in the video.
Rising from the ashes of renowned British rock band and former Kerrang! cover stars My Passion, it’s not taken Fort Hope long to make their own mark as one of the most promising young bands in the country.
On their debut mini-album ‘Courage’ Jonathan Gaskin’s sublime vocal takes centre stage – equally powerful inanthemic rock tracks such as ‘The Rapture’ and ‘I’m On Fire’ as in slower tracks such as ‘Time Is The Rope.’ It is released on 11 May 2014 via LAB Records (Hellogoodbye, The Summer Set, Young Kato).

A live powerhouse, in a little over a year as a band, they’ve already supported the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate, Jacks Mannequin), We AreThe In Crowd, Never Shout Never, The Maine and We Are The Ocean on full UK tours. Forthcoming dates include a sold out London show with Elliot Minor and a UK tour with Blitz Kids.
