Fender Redondo CE Acoustic Guitar Announced

Fender Redondo CE Acoustic Guitar

The Fender Redondo CE Acoustic Guitar – Rebirth of a California Classic

The Fender Redondo CE Acoustic Guitar has been launched at the 2012 NAMM trade show. Whilst to many, this may appear to be a new model, the Fender Redondo first appeared in 1968, as part of the ‘California’ series of guitars, which were aimed squarely at ‘the beach crowd’. This new, updated Redondo offers the distinctive styling of its ancestor with a few new twists to make it a more practical instrument for the modern player.

Fishman Isys III Pickup System

The modern Fender Redondo CE maintains the classic styling of the original. Featuring cutaway dreadnought body shape, the Redondo immediate presents itself as an instrument capable of performing in a wide variety of guitar styles. Its versatility is further reinforced by the woods used in its construction: the classic combination of spruce top and mahogany back and sides, with scalloped X bracing deliver a bright, sustaining yet balanced tone. A vintage C profile maple neck, with a rosewood fingerboard features a classic, Stratocaster style headstock, lending the Redondo its distinctive look. A checker-board rosette adds to its contemporary style.

The Fender Redondo CE ‘s major update from its predecessor revolves around its onboard electronics. It now features a Fishman Isys III pickup system, meaning that it now sounds great when plugged in, as well as great acoustically. This pickup system provides an active on-board preamp as well as an on-board tuner, convenient for anyone aiming to perform live (or, indeed, anyone who likes to play in tune…)

The Fender Redondo will be landing in stores very soon, and bringing a whole load of Californian beach vibes with it. Call our stores or customer service team (01925 582420), or order online today.
