The Fender Select Series gets a lengthy new ‘teaser’ promo video

The Fender Select Series of premium guitars (which includes the stunning Fender Select Telecaster shown above) caused a huge stir upon their announcement earlier this month. Providing the ultimate, luxurious iteration of classic Fender models, these are guitars for those for whom ‘only the best will do’. The resulting guitars are, frankly, jaw-dropping. Two Select Series Stratocasters are available (a regular Strat, and an HSS model), both with a stunning flame-maple top, three Select Series Telecasters (a traditional bound Telecaster, with flame maple top, and one model with a striking carved Koa top, and one model with a carved maple top), and a Select Series Precision Bass and Select Series Jazz Bass add equally attractive models for bassists. Further eye-catching appointments include necks made from Birdseye maple, and pickups designed specifically the Select range.

‘Select Instruments for Select Individuals’

To promote the Fender Select Series, Fender has produced a lengthy teaser video. Unlike anything the company has produced before, the video, which runs at nearly four minutes, has a plot, and features Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. With a strap line of ‘Select Instruments for Select Individuals’, we think the video certainly underpins the ‘Premium’ nature of these stunning instruments, with a cinematic aesthetic reminiscent of a luxury car advertisement.
