We’ve just received stock of the brand new 2009 models from Fender – the Upgrade Models. Small quantities of the Fender Strats and Teles are at the warehouse and will be sent out to our branches over the next few days.
We’ve also just upgrade the website to give you information on all the new models.
The main differences in the ‘Upgrade’ models are:
The headstock on the upgrade model only says ‘Fender’ and no longer includes the legend: Made in Mexico.This is still visible on the rear of the headstock
The neck on the new upgrade models has an antique finish to give the guitar a more ‘bedded-in’ look.
The plastic hardware on the Fender upgrade models is now in ‘aged white’ colour rather than bright white on previous models.
