IT Manager – Microsoft Dynamics NAV Vacancy

Dawsons Music are looking to recruit an experienced IT Manager for a role heading the IT Dept based in Warrington, Cheshire. The role centers around managing the Company’s systems management, with primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Retail POS and user workstations.

Job Purpose

To manage all aspects of the Company’s IT infrastructure to ensure a secure environment within which the business can perform effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilise the latest technologies available to update and maintain existing infrastructures, servers, networks, data resources and communication systems
  • Create, manage and maintain the IT systems disaster recovery plan
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the security integrity of all company IT systems
  • Ensure IT systems documentation is maintained and is up-to-date
  • Align IT objectives to the overall aims of the business
  • Demonstrate best practice at all times, leading and inspiring the IT team
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify system & data requirements, generating and delivering IT solutions which will enhance and progress the businesses capability
  • Project manage agreed solutions, including managing budgets, costs, resources, communications etc
  • Work with and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Work closely with all areas of the business to support each departments’ IT, system and data related requirements on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage direct reports effectively, supportively and in a manner that encourages personal development
  • Liaise with and manage third party IT suppliers

Key Skills &amp: Experience

  • At least 3 years experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is essential
  • Ability to create Jet Reports
  • Recent Retail experience
  • eCommerce experience a distinct advantage but not essential
  • Management of a company IT system administration and security
  • Solid SQL database skills and experience
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Cloud Server environments
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • CRM database
  • Product feeds (csv, xml)
  • Able to write macros
  • Approachable with a proactive personality and a willingness to be hands-on
  • Energetic and able to enthuse others
  • Organised, methodical, able to plan ahead and co-ordinate planned & unplanned activity
  • Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently and effectively
  • An effective team worker who shows initiative and takes ownership of the role
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
