They have now arrived in stock, and they deliver on their initial promise, and a lot more besides…
Electronic percussion, Looper and Clip that lets you use ANYTHING as a percussion instrument!
If you haven’t seen the Wavedrum Mini before, allow me to elaborate. Expanding the Korg Wavedrum range, the Mini version is an electronic drum/ percussion instrument with a large range of onboard sounds that can be played with either hands or sticks. But, here’s where it gets interesting… It also has an onboard looper, which allows the player to record performances one on top of another, to build complex percussive loops. In addition, the Wavedrum Mini includes a unique, clip on pickup. This can be attached to anything at all, converting the item that it is attached to into a ‘playing surface’. This could be a desktop, your shoe or even a water bottle, to be played as a shaker!
The onboard sounds range from high quality acoustic patches, percussion loops and synthesiser sounds, catering for an enormous variety of musical genres. And, most importantly, the Korg Wavedrum Mini is fun. Boy, is it fun. And its design means that the applications that it is suited for are limited only by the player’s imagination.
