Learn to Play Day at Dawsons has expanded once again, with more teachers and experts plus in-store giveaways!
The Learn to Play Day event taking place on March 31st is snowballing into quite an event. If you haven’t already read anything about it, this is day dedicated to giving anyone who has ever wanted to learn an instrument, but never had the opportunity to some free tuition, and the experience of playing. The day is taking place at music shops across the UK, organised in association with the MIA. Dawsons are taking part in this excellent initiative, with teachers in attendance at all of our stores in England.
However, things seem to be growing by the day, and in addition to the army of teachers on-hand, several product specialists from our many suppliers will also now be in attendance. Fender UK Product Specialist, Damon Chivers will be at our Manchester Store.
DMC Champ, DJ Rasp
In addition, it has just been confirmed that DJ Rasp, 2009 UK IDA and DMC Battle for Supremacy champion will be at our Manchester store, demonstrating why he has won or been a finalist in too many national and international DJ competitions to mention here… DJ Rasp appears courtesy of our friends at Numark, and product specialist Richard Cottle will also be around to help and advise. At Liverpool Numark will be represented by Richard Ward, and at Reading by Mark Lowes. Phew. Is that enough product specialists for you? Well, we’re not done yet…
At our Huddersfield store, Joe Carroll from Kawai will be in store, plus Dawsons will be at the Lowry Outlet Mall with specialists from Korg and Vox, spreading the ‘Learn to Play Day’ love. Those lovely folk at Korg have also promised some tuners (from their ever-reliable and impressively comprehensive range), which will be given away as prizes on the day. - Chester – 1 guitar teacher, 1 keyboard/ piano, woodwind and bowed strings teacher, 1 keyboard/ piano and woodwind teacher, and 1 drum and guitar teacher
- Manchester – 1 guitar teacher, 1 guitar and drum teacher, and 1 keyboard/ piano teacher, 1 woodwind teacher
- Basingstoke – 1 drum teacher, 1 keyboard teacher and 2 guitar teachers
- Liverpool – 1 Guitar teacher, 1 Keyboard teacher, 1 trumpet, piano and guitar teacher and 1 teacher who plays just about everything!
