Les Paul Studio 70s Tribute

The Norlin era inspired Les Paul Studio 70s Tribute has arrived

The Les Gibson Les Paul Studio 70s Tribute was a model that had been speculated about on forums ever since the ‘60s Tribute range was launched a few years ago. Inspired by the Norlin era of Les Pauls, this straightforward Studio range packs plenty of era specific features into a high performance but low cost Gibson guitar. The first instruments from this range have started to arrive in our stores, and very purdy they are too…

The Les Paul Studio 70s Tribute maintains the ethic of the Studio range- to keep things a bit less ‘fancy’ cosmetically, making the guitars a bit more affordable, without any sacrifice to performance. That said, this satin cherry model that has just arrived at our Warrington branch is no less attractive for it. It has already attracted many admiring glances from staff and customers alike.

The guitar is equipped with some very 70s features to provide the authentic Norlin era vibe. Firstly, two mini-humbuckers are loaded. According to Graham in our Warrington store, these deliver a classic warm tone that is ‘totally 21st Century Boy’. The neck is also a unique twist on what you may expect from a Les Paul Studio. The profile is a thin-to-thick type, slimmer at the lower frets, but chunkier towards the cutaway. It also features a volute- a bump carved into the rear of the neck at the nut position which reinforces the headstock.

All of this is already, very appealing. The Les Paul Studio 70s Tribute has a price of just £699, however, making it very tempting indeed… There are several of our stroes who have currently got these great guitars in stock, with all finishes (along with the SGs and firebirds) to follow shortly. If you like to get your hands on one, call our stores or customer service team (01925 582420), or order online today.
