And with players across all genres, from John Squire, to Brian Setzer, via George Harrison and Chet Atkins, it can be seen that Gretsch guitars have found their way into the hands of some of the most influential players of all time. And, with the announcement a new, updated range of their affordable Electromatic range, there is a very strong possibility of their finding there way into the hands of a whole host more… Perhaps the most exciting launch among these new guitars is the all-new Gretsch Electromatic Jet-Club.

With a bolt-on neck, and a single-cutaway chambered basswood body, the Electromatic Jet-Club ‘s classic, retro two-tone colour scheme leaves you in no doubt of its heritage. An Adjusto-Matic bridge keeps things well anchored, whilst “Thumbnail” style inlays and a pearloid pickguard add to the striking good looks. In terms of electronics, the Gretsch Electromatic Jet-Club features humbuckers, delivering plenty of thick, powerful tone. It isn’t often an entirely new model arrives from historic guitar companies, but the Jet-Club is just that, and the specification it is equipped with should see it feature in catalogue for some time…
