Get inside the heads of the Propellerhead Reason 6.5 Experts at the Reason 6.5 tour next week
The Propellerhead Reason 6.5 tour kicks off at Dawsons stores next week, and it promises to be a treat. Reason 6.5 has created a huge stir since its launch, with producers already singing the praises of the new Rack Extensions effects and instruments. The forthcoming Reason in-store events give attendees to get the low-down on version 6.5 from two professionals who know more about than just about anyone…
Mattias Haggstrom Gerdt
Mattias Haggstrom Gerdt is founder of Anosou music, through which he works as a freelance composer. Much of his work is within the video game industry, with an impressive and growing list of credits within this incredibly competitive industry. Currently he is working with developer Mojang (of Minecraft fame).
However, he has been a leading international product demonstrator for Propellerhead for many years, a role he likes to call ‘Music Maker’s Super Friend’. Mattias’ enthusiasm for Reason is boundless, and very infectious. A self confessed evangelist for the software, Mattias is only too happy to share his passion for it, and there are few who know more than he…
Gary Bromham’s musical CV is impressive, to say the least. Though he started as a Tape-op/ tea-boy, his career began in earnest in Iceland, co-producing a Eurovision entry. However, this led to work with Iceland’s most famous musical export, Bjork. From here, Gary has gone on to work with artists such as Sheryl Crow, Bow Wow Wow, Delta Goodrem and Andrew Ridgely, among a huge list of talented and renowned artists.
Gary has been a leading demonstrator for Propellerhead for some time, and has been at the helm of many of the Propellerhead Reason tours in the past few years. As you may imagine, there are few people within the industry who have his depth of experience and talent, and he is only too happy to share it in lectures, master classes and Reason tours, such as this.
From these two hugely experienced producers and Propellerhead Reason Experts, there is a wealth of information, tips and tricks to be plundered. At the in-store events, Mattias will be taking the attendees through the new features of Reason 6.5, including Rack Extensions, while Gary will take over with a guide to the audio recording and editing capabilities within it- no doubt with plenty about the mixer section, which is based on the SSL 9000 console that he has used extensively throughout his career.
The dates for each Propellerhead Reason 6.5 tour event are as follows (each starts at 7.30pm at the relevant Dawsons Store):
- Chester – Mon 16th July
- Leeds – Tues 17th July
- Manchester – Weds 18th July
- Liverpool – Thurs 19th July
Events such as these, with two such knowledgeable hosts happen very rarely, so this is a great opportunity to get the low-down on Propellerhead Reason 6.5 from those who know, and pick up some great techniques, too.
