Our Reading and Liverpool stores host Roland Synthesis Uncovered event, demystifying synthesis…
The Roland Synthesis Uncovered in-store events promise to be a hugely beneficial experience for anyone who has wanted to know how to get the most out of an analogue style subtractive synthesiser. These synthesisers can be a little intimidating if you are new to the world of synthesis. With a front panel generally covered in sliders, rotary controls and buttons, each labelled with strange jargon (envelopes, LFOs, oscillators, filter cutoff and more…), it can seem like the ‘dark arts’ to the uninitiated. However, the subtractive synthesiser is surprisingly simple to grasp, yet astonishingly powerful.

Learn how to create your own sounds using a Roland Gaia SH-01
There are very few companies who can match Roland’s contribution to the world of synthesis. The Roland Gaia SH-01 is one of the latest additions to this expanding line of superb synthesisers. Aside from providing stunning thick analogue style tone, and lots of hands-on control, it is an excellent synthesiser for those who are taking their first steps in synthesis. All of the key ‘tweak-able’ sound parameters are laid out neatly and logically, just waiting to be adjusted to create that killer lead, lush pad or room-shaking bass.
What better synthesiser to use to learn the principles of subtractive synthesis, then, than the Gaia? For this reason, the Roland Synthesis Uncovered event at Liverpool and Reading will be carried out on this wonderful synth. Interested? The event is due to take place at Dawsons Reading and Dawsons Liverpool on Saturday 25th February. Call our Liverpool store (0151 7091455) or Reading store (0118 9581320) for more information, or to book a one-to-one session.
