Craig Blundell in-store at Dawsons Manchester Tomorrow with evening clinic
The Roland V-Drums UK launch tour rolls into Dawsons Manchester tomorrow. The tour, which trumpets (or should that be ‘bangs the drum for’?) the newly updated V-Drum range is headed by none other than leading V-Drums expert and session player Craig Blundell. Craig has been heavily involved in the development of the new V-Drum kits, so who better to guide you around the new features?
During the day, he’ll be in-store to show you around the stunning new TD-11, TD-15 and TD-30 kits, but he’ll also be running an in-store drum battle. This will be taking place via Roland’s excellent free software programme, ‘Friend Jam’. This piece of software provides a wide range of fun coaching and practice exercises that can be carried out by connecting your V-Drum kit to the computer.
These exercises are award points, which has the effect of making them feel more like games. However, Friend Jam takes this concept further by placing your results on league tables. Yes, you could be competing with drummers across the world…
To take part in the drum battle, all you have to do is visit the store tomorrow (14th June 2012) and ask. And don’t worry, as I understand it, Mr. Blundell is not Allowed to take part… 
V-Drum Clinic from 7.30pm
Craig will be holding one of his incredibly popular Roland V-Drums clinics at the Manchester store at 7.30pm on the same day. As I’ve said many times in this blog, if you have even a passing interest in drums, these are always worth attending. Craig is a very well respected clinician, and an astonishingly talented player who is more than happy to share his vast knowledge of drumming and Roland V-Drums with anyone who wants to come along.
