On Saturday 4th October Craig Blundell from Roland visited our Dawsons Basingstoke store to demonstrate the complete suite of Roland V-Drum Kits, practice pads and accessories. He played the Roland TD-9K and TD-9KX plus the Roland HD-1 starter kit and also the Roland HPD-15 Handsonic. The Roland SPDS Sample Pad also made an appearance. The Dawsons Basingstoke store is situated in one of the busiest shopping centres in the South of England – Festival Place, and Craig set up the Roland digital kits right in the centre of the shopping precinct. As such he ended up demoing from 10.30am right the way through to 4.30pm - a marathon drum session and must have played to over 10,000 people throughout the day. He also answered questions about the kits and even sampled some of the audience into the Roland SPD-S to play in his demos.
Rob Oram, the store manager commented “This has been a great day and Craig has introduced the concept of digital drums to 1000s of people who, until now, hadn’t realised how affordable the Roland digital kits are”.
Dawsons have got more Roland V-Drum dates coming up so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to hear them demoed by possibly the best demonstrators in Europe.
