The Taylor Guitar Road Show is due to roll into our Leeds and Reading stores in May, providing a ‘fix’ for fans all things six-stringed. Taylor Guitars was founded in 1974, in El Cajon, California by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. In the relatively short period since its birth, the brand has established itself as a manufacturer of some of the most desirable acoustic and electric guitars in the World. Building ‘boutique’, master craftsman quality instruments, along with more affordable lines, Taylor has pioneered cutting edge technology in its production process. Taking the eye for detail of an experienced luthier, it uses computer technology, lasers and more besides, resulting in guitars that are consistently superb.

At the forthcoming Taylor Guitar Road Shows at Dawsons Leeds, and Dawsons Reading, you will have the opportunity to see why Taylor guitars are held to be among the finest money can buy. Members of Taylor staff will be in store to guide and advise, providing a demonstration of how differing tonewoods and body shapes/ sizes affect the resulting guitar tone. After the demonstration, the complete Taylor Guitar line will be available to try, described by the guys at Taylor as the ‘Petting Zoo’. This is an opportunity to try a wide range of Taylor instruments, including Custom Build, and less commonly seen models. Now that’s my kind of zoo…
