Following on from the recent Pod HD floorboard effect processors comes a desktop version of the exciting new amp modelling technology. Over 100 guitar effects, 16 new or re-modelled amps plus an interface designed to be perfect in small project studios make this one of the most sought after products at Musikmesse 2011.
Line 6 say that their new HD amp modelling technology offers a new depth of sound inside a highly portable desktop recording unit, an ideal size for home recording use but with tones just as at home in high-class studios. The all-new display lets you chain up to eight high-quality effects in any order, making for highly customisable and unique tones to make you and your recordings sound highly professional. The user interface is designed for quick modification of your input and any of the amps and effects you have included. In addition, this ships with the also brand new HD v1.3 firmware on-board, giving you an additional six HD amp models and a whole five new adjustable parameters inside every amp. This is also available in a free update form for current POD HD floorboard users, available later this month.
An extremely versatile studio tool, the new POD HD would be a great purchase for bands, solo guitarists and even studio producers or engineers who want to provide pleasing tone to their clientele without having to buy an expensive collection of guitar amplifiers. The POD HD desktop multi-effect processor should be on our shores from May 2011.
