Win a recording deal with This Is Promotions and Dawsons Music
We run a lot of competitions with great prizes here at Dawsons, but the opportunity to win a recording deal may well be one of the most appealing to the musicians who frequent this website. Yes, you could win a recording and video package courtesy of This Is Promotions and Dawsons. The lucky winner will record a single and make a promo video for it. The single will then be released via iTunes!
This could be a great opportunity for a band to get their material to a far wider audience. Plus, a promo video is an invaluable promotional tool in this age of streaming, always available media. And this all ignores the key point- you’re releasing a single!

Are you in a band, a singer-songwriter, or creating music on your own? Have you got material that the world needs to hear? Then what are you waiting for?
There are three different ways to enter the competition and potentially win a recording deal, each more fiendish than the last… Just kidding- you have to submit an original song for consideration, and each way to do it is very simple, I promise 
You can either:
- Post a link to your song on This Is Promotions Facebook page (follow this link)
- Send an email with a link to your song to info@thisispromotions.com
- Hand in a CD or DVD of your song at your local Dawsons branch
The competition ends on the 10th September. All short-listed entrants will be posted on the Dawsons Facebook page, with the eventual winner chosen by industry professionals from This Is Promotions. In addition, three runners up will win a marketing consultation with This Is Promotions, worth £150.
