Get your hands on a Roland HD-1 V-Drum Kit in our competition this month!
The Roland HD-1 V-Drum kit is one of the most popular drum kits that Roland has ever produced. Recognising that, along with the issue of noise, many aspiring drummers do not have enough space for a conventional drum kit, Roland produced a far more compact kit. In addition, the pads were made softer and consequently quieter. There was no compromise made on sound quality and build quality, however. The HD-1 is robust, with great sounds, and an easy to use interface.
This month, we have a Roland HD-1 up for grabs. All you have to do is tell us why you deserve it.
Use your imagination, make us laugh (just don’t make us cry…)
If you would like to get your hands on this great, Roland HD-1 kit, we would like to hear why you need it. Using a video submitted to Youtube as your platform, it is up to you to convince the monkey why you need this drum kit above everyone else. This could be anything from a dramatic performance, a performance of your own drumming, a funny story or, indeed anything that is related to your need for an HD-1 kit that will entertain him. All he asks is that there are no sad stories- he’s quite a sensitive soul, so keep things fun and the HD-1 could be yours!
I tried to enter, playing the solo from Led Zep’s Moby Dick, on a kit cobbled together from pots and pans, with a couple of wooden spoons as sticks, and a tea tray suspended from the door frame as a gong. When the monkey had stopped laughing, after falling out of his tree in hysterics, he told me I couldn’t enter because I worked for Dawsons. Oh well. He seemed to be entertained, so maybe I was on the right lines at least…
If you like to enter, post your video, (which can be pretty much anything at all, from performance to ‘compelling speech’) to Youtube, then email the link to email@example.com. The video can be up to 65 seconds long, and must be titled ‘Why I Need Roland V-Drums In My Life’. Best of Luck! Lights, Camera, Action…
