The Boss BR800 is a powerful production studio, interface, control surface and location recorder all rolled into one simple to use device. Record up to four tracks at once, play back 8 different tracks (64 V-tracks, 8 on each channel) and apply industry leading Boss electric guitar, acoustic guitar and vocal effects for slick, fully produced tracks.
Recording need not be a complex chore, the Boss EZ record function quickly guides you through the essential steps so you can record with incredible speed. Song Sketch provides rapid stereo recording of your ideas, when you just want to get going and lay down a simple track without having to worry about the rest. A built-in drum machine lets solo artists record full tracks, lets bands record quick demos and lets performers build up quality backing tracks.
Connect to your computer via USB and load up Cakewalk SONAR 8.5 LE (included) or another DAW and you can use the Boss BR800 as a recording interface to directly get audio into your computer, or import the recorded tracks from the SD card to edit on the computer. The BR 800 also functions as a control surface so you can use it to quickly mix and edit parameters on the fly. Cakewalk SONAR 8.5 LE also includes audio loops and backing tracks, so you can build up tracks on the computer and then put them on the BR800 to record further tracks and use the built-in effects.
Recording onto SD memory makes it easy to transfer your files to other devices and purchase additional cards when you want more space (supporting up to 32GB SDHC) so recording time is really not an issue. A 1GB SD card is supplied with the Boss BR-800 so you can begin recording immediately.
