Since being discontinued in 1984, the Boss DM-2 Delay pedal has grown in reputation to become one of the most coveted out of production pedals. Thanks to its reputation for creating warm, "bucket brigade" analogue delay tones, the DM-2 regularly changes hands for incredible prices. As part of the special edition Waza Craft pedal range, the DM-2W recreates the original character of the beloved DM-2, whilst packing a few extra tricks up its sleeve.
Designed by Boss's master engineers from their base in Japan, the Waza Craft DM-2W has been crafted with dutiful attention to detail. As we've come to expect from the team at Boss, they don't do things by halves. However, this new range takes their meticulous efforts to greater heights. In Japan, "Waza" is the term for art and technique. By infusing their dedication to tonal excellence with an emphasis on the finer details, the team at Boss have created a blend that combines the coveted tonal character achieved using old-school analogue circuitry with high-tech modern digital signal processing (DSP) technology.
The DM-2W utilises 100-percent analogue circuitry, and the standard mode perfectly captures the complex sounds and 20-300 ms delay range of the original DM-2. Once you flip the switch over to Custom mode, you're instantly presented with the sound character of the cleaner analogue tone with over twice the available delay time.
The heavy-duty stompbox design ensures that the DM-2W is as road-ready and rugged as you could want. This little beauty is built like a tank and is guaranteed to perform every time. Boss are so certain of that fact they've included their standard five-year warranty.
