Audio and MIDI Interfaces

In modern studio, the computer is often the ‘engine’ powering the entire process. However, to connect musical equipment to the computer, audio interfaces and MIDI interfaces provide the essential bridge. An audio interface is, essentially, a means of getting audio in or out of the host computer at the highest quality. These can be as simple as providing a single input and output, to sophisticated devices designed for studio situations, capable of recording high numbers of tracks simultaneously.

The MIDI interface provides a means of connecting external MIDI equipment to a computer, such as controller keyboards, sound modules or synthesisers, to control, or be controlled by software. We have a huge range of Audio and MIDI interfaces, from highly regarded brands such as Focusrite, Avid, Edirol, Tascam, Presonus, M-Audio and more.
