Akai EIE PRO Audio Interface

A step up from its little brother, the Akai EIE PRO Audio Interface offers all the inputs and outputs you could need, a USB 2.0 interface and a four-in, four-out channel design. You also get professional-level sound quality with low latency ASIO drivers, up to 24-bit resolution and support for sample rates up to 96 kHz.

All of this comes in a single box that is both robust and portable with high-grade components, such as the nickel-plated input jacks & analog-style VU meters. The Akai EIE PRO Interface has a tough aluminium housing that both protects the unit and is lightweight. With plug-and-play functionality you can bring this box anywhere that you need complete connectivity without losing out on audio quality.

Inputs/Outputs

The Akai EIE PRO 24-bit Electromusic Interface Expander provides you with an XLR-¼” combo jack per channel with phantom power (for connectivity for almost any microphone). At the rear are four ¼” nickel-plated jack inserts for you to process audio signals externally.

Monitoring is also simple with the Akai EIE PRO Interface thanks to the inclusion of four ¼” balanced outputs, allowing you to hook up speakers. The classically styled analog VU meters offer a visual representation of your sound. You can also monitor through your headphones with the 1/4” TRS headphone output allowing for remote tracking and alternative playback.

With high quality analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters the Akai EIE PRO Audio Interface ensures the audio from its four channels is sent and received perfectly via a single USB. This functionality ensures you can plug-and-play with a Mac or PC (running Mac OS X or Windows XP, Vista or 7 operating systems) and compatibility with virtually any music software (such as GarageBand & Pro Tools).

Acting as a USB hub the Akai EIE PRO USB Audio Interface offers three additional USB inputs for you to easily connect controllers, hard drives and other computer peripherals.

Catering for traditional MIDI-compatible instruments, workstations and keyboard/pad controllers the Akai EIE PRO USB Interface also features 5 Pin MIDI In & Out jacks.
