The most affordable of Roland’s TD series the Roland TD-4K2 is the perfect kit for serious players and beginners who want a full-sized digital drum kit with all the necessary accessories, but without the price that normally accompanies them.
The Roland TD-4K2 Drum Kit comes readily loaded with 25 kits and 125 instruments spanning many genres. These can even be custom-tuned and the kicks, snares and toms can be muffled. You can even adjust ambient effects to get the right atmosphere for your playing.
The Roland TD-4K2 V-Drums Kit is equipped with a full set of pads to give a complete drum kit, with upgraded V-Cymbals and Kick Pad. The whole kit includes: a V-Pad (Snare), PDX-8 pad (tom 1, tom 2, tom 3), three PD-8 cymbal pads (crash/ride), two CY-8 cymbal pads (hi-hat), CY-5 kick pad & a KD-9 x 1 hi-hat control pedal.
Of course with the offer at Dawsons you also get the Electronic Drum Accessory Pack 2 free with the Roland TD-4K2. The pack consists of a drum stool, bass drum pedal, headphones & drumsticks, so you’ll be fully equipped to rock out as soon as you open the box.
Practice Features
As it’s designed for practice, with particular mind being paid to beginners, the Roland TD-4K2 offers improved playability and performance from its pads and extra practice functions from the brain of the kit, the TD-4 Sound Module.
Along with being able to hook up a pair of headphones to the kit for playing silently (a draw for many a frustrated parent) the TD-4K2 includes a Coach Mode with exercises geared towards helping you to become a better player, such as Warm Ups and Tempo Check, which help you with accuracy and endurance.
The Roland TD-4K2 Electronic Drum Kit also offers Quick Rec; a recorder that captures your performance at the touch of a button for you to analyse your playing, to see where you can improve.
If you wish to play to a backing track or just play along to your favourite songs the Roland TD-4K2 can accommodate you with its Mix in jack allowing you to hook up an external audio source such as an MP3 player.
