Returns Policy

The Epiphone Les Paul Special II may have an incredibly affordable price tag, but do not be fooled, it features all the customary appointments normally associated with much more expensive models, and delivers that classic Les Paul feel and tone.

Warm, Mahogany Body

As we all know, the unique Les Paul tone starts with the body. Epiphone have carefully crafted the Les Paul Special II from mahogany, giving it a substantial, satisfying and forceful punch. The inherent warmth that mahogany produces gives each and every note a lush, rich sounding character. As you'd expect, the body takes on the classic single-cutaway Les Paul shape, whilst the flat-back design offers a reassuringly confident feel against your body whilst you're rocking out.

Rugged and Reliable Neck

Attached to the body is a rugged and reliable mahogany neck, fitted with a gorgeous rosewood fingerboard - home to 22 highly playable frets. The mahogany/rosewood combo ensures that sustain is maximised whilst note articulation is smoothly delivered across each and every fret.

Versatile Humbucking Pickups

The Les Paul Special II is fitted with Alnico 650R and 700T humbuckers at the neck and bridge positions respectively. Whether you're a: flat picker, sweeper, shredder, tapper or strummer, this perfectly matched pair of beauties will ensure that the sound you're looking for can be achieved with minimal effort, allowing you to get on with what you do best. Control couldn't be easier, and thanks to the 3-way pickup selector, Master Volume and Master Tone knobs you're always a fingertip away from subtle to explosive tones.

Customary Bridge and Tailpiece

As previously noted, all the customary appointments you would expect to see on a Les Paul Standard are here: LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge with LockTone Stopbar tailpiece, all-metal 3-way pickup toggle switch, 14:1 ratio tuning machine heads for improved tuning integrity and 12" fingerboard radius for seamless string bending.

Gem of an Instrument

Whether you're new to the instrument, or have many years of experience, the Epiphone Les Paul Special II electric guitar in ebony is a gem of an instrument that combines grace, power, and versatility at a ludicrously low price.

Customer Reviews
Great guitar for the price
Posted on 14/03/2016 by Luke After ten years of not playing an electric guitar I bought this guitar because it was a cheap re-start guitar for me. I can honestly say it's very good for the price. The quality is good for the money, the strings it comes equipped with are terrible but nothing that can't be fixed by changing them. The guitar comes set up which would be fine for a beginner but the action is very high so if you are working on any solo's or shred work further up the fretboard, it is very difficult, this can manually be lowered but even then doesn't compare to guitars at a slightly higher price range. The guitar slips out of tune on a regular basis whilst you play due to low quality tunning pegs so buying a guitar tuner is essential. Overall a very good starter guitar for its price but it won't take long until your skills outgrow it.
Epiphone Les Paul Special 2
Posted on 14/07/2014 by Rock guitar I got this guitar because its at a good price and not bad for a beginner. Great sound!
Very good
Posted on 17/05/2014 by Enrico I have started playing the electric guitar and this is very helpful and simple to use.
Excellent purchase.
Posted on 17/02/2014 by Leemac I've been playing acoustic for a few months and made a decision to buy an electric. As there are so many on the market at the moment I really couldn't decide which one was right for me. I wanted a good make and heard that Epiphone was a reliable choice. I couldn't make up my mind between a Strat or a Les Paul and in the end went for a Les Paul. I think in the end I have made the right choice. The guitar feels really comfortable in my hands and the sound through the amp is really good.
Good Starter
Posted on 10/08/2012 by grimreaper46 Bought this as an addition to my acoustic and I like its action and tone. I am taking lessons and I find this a very good guitar to learn on. As a novice I can only say that if you are looking for a reasonably priced electric I would go for this. Very pleased.
