The Epiphone Les Paul Special II electric guitar in heritage cherry sunburst, may have an affordable price tag, but don't let that fool you. Built to Epiphone's impeccable high standards of quality, every detail has been pored over to create a model that isn't just for beginners, but that even seasoned pros will enjoy playing on.

The Special II's body is crafted from mahogany, giving it a robust character with a forceful mid to low-end energy. Shaped to the distinctive Les Paul body shape, the body is balanced perfectly to make it easy to wield. The heritage cherry sunburst finish harks back to the classic Les Paul finishes of the '50s.

Fitted to the body is a sturdy mahogany neck, which has been shaped to the slender SlimTaper "D" profile, giving it the perfect balance between accommodating and easy to navigate. Married to the neck is a sumptuous rosewood fingerboard, which carries 22-frets with white dot position inlays to guide your way. The partnership of mahogany and rosewood ensures that each note rings out with the utmost clarity, so that each pick, pluck or stroke is articulated exquisitely. The fingerboard radius is shaped to 12", a measurement that has been found to guarantee a stable platform for executing smooth string bends.

Versatile Alnico Humbucker

The Les Paul Special II is fitted with Alnico 650R and 700T humbuckers at the neck and bridge positions respectively. Whether you're a: chicken picker, flat picker, sweeper, shredder, tapper or strummer, this perfectly matched pair of beauties will ensure that the sound you're looking for can be achieved with minimal effort, allowing you to get on with what you do best. Control couldn't be easier thanks to the 3-way pickup selector, Master Volume and Master Tone knobs you're always a fingertip away from subtle to explosive tones.

Resilient Hardware

In order to uphold tuning integrity, string intonation and tension with precision, the Special II benefits from an impressive hardware setup. The LockTone tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece create a seamless connection between the strings and body, whilst the 14:1 ratio tuning machines keep tuning held steadfast throughout each and every performance.

If you're looking for a comfortable, and reliable model that is great for practising and gigging with at an affordable price, then the Epiphone Les Paul Special II electric guitar is the model you're looking for. Customer Reviews
Excellent company to deal with and a fantastic guitar
Posted on 21/03/2016 by Philip I purchased this guitar after looking at the reviews on the Dawson site and speaking with their rep.
Who gave excellent advice. The guitar arrived on time and in perfect condition. The quality and sound from this guitar is amazing for its cost. Thoroughly recommend both Dawson's Music and this guitar.
Great guitar, great price
Posted on 02/02/2016 by Scottie It's an amazing guitar for the sounds that you can get out of it using effects pedals, its great for a beginners guitar or as an extra guitar for a gig, only problem was with the faulty neck pick-up. Although, took it back and had it cleaned and repaired within two days in warrington and it hasn't been better since, strongly recommend.
Posted on 07/01/2015 by Jacob Great guitar, looks amazing outstanding value, beautiful design. Dawsons delivered the package fast and I received text messages to say when the delivery would be made.
Great beginner guitar
Posted on 26/09/2014 by I.H.Williams I tried this guitar a few months ago, and it was amazing value. I was looking for a third guitar, a gigging guitar. I thought that this sounded good for the price. the components were cheap, but they worked.

Overall, the only issue I have with this guitar is that it was a tad cheap for a third guitar. Since I know more about guitars and am a better player than I was, I think I'll be shopping a little higher up, perhaps for a cheap fender or Gibson.
Posted on 03/03/2014 by pepsimaxo123 I have had this guitar for a few years, and I have to say it is beautiful, fun to play and a brilliant sound, would recommend this to anyone.
