The original Wild kat, known for being comfortable play (due to its small, semi-hollow body), its vintage tone and great sustain has been given the Royale treatment. The Epiphone Wildkat Royale has been suited and booted with all gold hardware, gold sparkle binding and a pearl white finish, making this standout guitar fit for a king.
The body of the Epiphone Wildkat Royale’s is made from a single piece of mahogany giving it warmth and a rich sustain. This has been forged to replicate an acoustic guitar body but with an ES335-like center block. In terms of size the body is actually smaller than the ES335 but a little bigger than a Les Paul. It’s this difference in size that gives the guitar its comfortable playability and lightweight feel.
The body has been paired with a solid mahogany glued-in neck to extended the guitars tone and sustain. A rosewood fingerboard to complement the guitar’s striking aesthetics covers the neck. A B70 licensed Bigsby vibrato features on the Epiphone Wildkat Royale for sonic ambidexterity and a pair of P90 Classic pickups for the vintage tone the Wildkat is famed for.
More royal appointments on the Epiphone Wildkat Royale include neck, bridge and master volume and master tone controls, 16:1 Grover machine heads and of course the metal Epiphone name plate brandishing the headstock.

Versatile bit of bling

If you can handle the bling, this guitar can certainly handle anything you can throw its way. Well put together, nice weight, good action, easily adjustable. Bought this guitar used, some tarnish on bridge pickup and Bigsby but only to be expected with use. Pickups perfectly adequate home use or gigged. Good range of sounds suit most styles. Well worth a try in my opinion, one of the better reasonable priced guitars around.
