New for 2011, the eagerly anticipated Epiphone ES-339 is the must-have instrument for the versatile guitarist!

Based on the classic semi-hollowbody models of the late 50’s, the ES-339 has the same classic looks as the ES-335, Sheraton and Casino models, but is a more compact size. The body is closer to the size of a Les Paul model, and the input jack socket has been moved from the front of the guitar to the lower bout.

The body is made of laminated maple with a solid centre-block to help reduce feedback whilst increasing sustain.

The mahogany neck has a slim ‘60s profile for comfort. The rosewood fretboard has dot inlays, and deluxe binding on the edges.

The Epiphone USA designed humbucking pickups can deliver anything from warm jazzy tones to screaming rock. And that’s not all……..Each pickup features a coil splitter, enabling further sonic versatility by allowing the player to produce thinner, brighter tones that would usually be heard on a single coil guitar.

The all-new Epiphone ES-339 is the perfect guitar for the player that demands classic styling but with modern versatility.

This was my first guitar and the main reason I bought it was because I want the Les Paul sound and the acoustic sound that I use a lot; this guitar was just perfect! I strongly recommend this guitar not just as a first guitar but also as a guitar for life.
