The Eventide Space Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal is the stuff dreams are made of. When you boast a list of users that includes: Annie Clark (St. Vincent); Dave Sitek (TV On the Radio); Dave Weiner (Steve Vai); Passion Pit; and Cymbals Eat Guitars, you know you've done something right. Not only that, but when you can boast presets designed by: Richard Devine (legendary Sound Designer); Flood and Alan Moulder (legendary Producers/Engineers/Mixers who've worked with Nine Inch Nails & U2 (amongst many others)); Jonsi & Alex (Sigur Rós); and John Agnello (legendary Producer/Recording Engineer/ Mixer who has worked with Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr. (again, amongst many others)), you know you have something incredibly special in your arsenal.
Exploring the cosmos in compact form
As the name suggests, the Space pedal is a multi-effects unit with 12 reverb combo algorithms that have been borrowed from Eventide's legendary rack-based units. This is a studio- and stage-ready unit with: Hall, Room, and Plate reverbs aplenty, that will give your tone the enormous breadth and depth it deserves. There are some weird and wonderful names here: BlackHole reverb with Gravity and Anti-Gravity; DualVerb, MangledVerb, DynaVerb, ModEchoVerb, and more. From subtle, natural-sounding spring reverbs to ethereal, spacey brilliance, the Space pedal has it all.
Control comes in the form of 11 pots that allow you to shape and sculpt your tone with absolute precision, whilst a trio of footswitches allow you to dial in tap tempo, activate/bypass the unit, and there is also a HotSwitch that allows you to inject instant parameter modulation with the click of a switch.
The Space boasts mono and/or stereo operation, with both Guitar and Line-level inputs - so it's not exclusively the reserve of guitars (anyone can get in on the action with this beauty). It is even built with MIDI control enabled thanks to the built in USB connection.
The Eventide Space unit is small yet ruggedly designed. Even with its durable metal casing, the entire pedal weighs in at a mere 1kg, and features a solid rubber base that allows it to cling securely to your pedalboard during the most energetic of gigs. In the darkest of venues, the large and easy to read display will ensure you're always on top of your tone.
H9 Control App
To manage your preset lists, update firmware, configure aux switches, listen to demos, backup settings, etc., Eventide has created the H9 Control app. As well as manipulating parameters and settings, the app encourages you to push sonic boundaries, so that your imagination is given total freedom to find the tone of your dreams.
