I actually got the bass at a reduced price in December of last year. However, this is still an excellent bass, and if I had played this bass before I bought it at the reduced price I would have still happily payed £229.00.Great highs and excellent at the bottom end, the bass is very versatile due to the jazz set up with the single spilt coils.I mainly play punk, rock and sometimes a bit of 60's and this bass fits perfectly. I bought this bass mainly as a home recording instrument but have gigged with it and has proven to be excellent at both.

The hardware is chrome plated (good quality) and solid. The set-up was great out of the box and required next to no playing with on my part. The bass came with D'addario roundwound medium gauge strings which were of good quality but not too my tastes.Purely from a personal prefernce i replaced these with flatwound stringd as I do like a smoother sound while recording.

Overall an excellent value bass and easily exceeds basses that I have played in the similar price range.if you want jazz versality with a tone that punches through this is the bass for you. Also It should be said the service from Dawsons was impeccable and deliver time was excellent.
