‘Farida, a company well-versed in providing impressive instruments at attractive prices.’
Comprised of three models, the main ingredient in Farida’s Mahogany 15 Series is, of course, mahogany, which, along with the solid top, is found in place at the back & sides, and neck of each instrument, which itself is shaped for comfort and smooth playability. There are dreadnought, Richtone, and Parlour guitar shapes to choose from, with Fishman electronics used throughout.
Farida D-15E Dreadnought Guitar
The Farida D-15E boasts a loud and full tone both acoustically and electronically, with accentuated high-mids and treble. Add to this the awesome Fishman Blend system, for finite control over plugged-in tone, and you have a guitar that’s got you covered for chord and fingerstyle playing, all with undercutting warmth provided by the all-mahogany construction.
‘if this turns out to be your first all-mahogany acoustic, you won’t regret your purchase.’
Farida R-15E Richtone Guitar
Described by Farida as having a ‘Richtone’ body shape, the R-15E has a narrower waist and more rounded shoulders than the more common place dreadnought shape that some find more comfortable. This body shape paired with the all-mahogany construction creates a tight acoustic tone that’s versatile in its range of applications. This model is also equipped with the Fishman Presys Blend that offers a great selection of tone-sculpting options.
‘We’re big fans of this guitar… it’s highly recommended.’
Farida M-15E Parlour Guitar
With its parlour shape, the M-15E is the most compact of the series. It still holds its own however, with a rich yet clear tone throughout the tonal spectrum and an exception level of projection.
Although parlours are known for being popular with fingerstyle players, this little gem is capable of incredible power whist retaining clarity when used for chord work. The M-15E is partnered with a Fishman IsysT preamp and piezo pickup to carry the warm tone of the mahogany through an amp, as well as giving the option to add depth with the phase switch.
'playing the M-15E is a tactile experience that’s aided by the bijou dimensions'
