Fender
Fender is responsible for some of the greatest, and most significant developments in the world of the modern guitar. They developed the first mass-produced solid bodied electric guitar in the form of the Fender Telecaster, followed it with the Stratocaster, and, not content with revolutionising the guitar-playing world, turned their attentions to the Bass, developing the first mass-produced electric bass in the form of the Fender Precision Bass. The enduring popularity that they enjoy is shared by other Fender models, the Jaguar, Jazzmaster, Mustang, and Jazz bass being the obvious examples.
Their successes were not limited to guitars alone, however. Fender also created guitar amps that hold equally classic status. The Fender Twin, Deville and Deluxe are all revered guitar amps used by some of the worlds most renowned players. Perhaps Rock ‘n’ Roll’s most recognisable brand, Fender instruments continue to be played and enjoyed by guitarists the world over.
