The Fender Telecaster is one of the most successful solidbody electric guitars ever to be made. When the Telecaster was first created, it was the product of a simple design that was thought up to try and improve playability and sound for all guitarists, and this was certainly achieved. The American Professional Telecaster draws influence from the classic Tele model and adds in some new and innovative appointments, and this one is specifically designed for left-handed players.
The Left-Handed American Professional Telecaster has a solidbody construction which is made using ash. The body has a fairly lightweight feel that is comfortable to wield, whatever your playing style. The body is finished in a gloss polyurethane layer that protects the paintwork and polishes off its slick appearance.
The 2017 American Professional Telecaster retains the classic single cutaway body shape with slender curves that sit neatly against your body.
Fender have fitted a smooth 25.5 inch scale length maple neck to the left-handed American Pro Tele. One of the new features of this guitar is its Modern "Deep C" neck profile which provides the perfect fit in your hand. The neck has a gloss urethane layer on the front plus a satin urethane layer at the back to enhance playing comfort.
Maple is also used in the 9.5 inch radius fingerboard on top of the neck, a sumptuous playing surface ready to explore. This plays host to 22 narrow-tall frets decorated with black dot position inlays. The frets provide adequate space to perform an array of sublime string bends and clear chords.
Tim Shaw is a visionary when it comes to creating vintage pickups for outstanding amplification, and with this he has designed the V-Mod single-coil pickups which are placed in the neck and bridge positions on the American Professional Telecaster LH model. Individually voiced and powered by alnico magnets, this 2017 Telecaster produces the quintessential single-coil Fender sound.
The Telecaster has the usual 3-way pickup switch selector joined by controls for Master Volume and Tone. A new and unique control feature however is the addition of the treble-bleed circuit which keeps the high-end clarity, even when the volume level is up. This also enables you to dial back the gain level to get a more articulate tone.
The body is equipped with a redesigned 3-saddle strings-through-body Tele bridge with compensated brass saddles and a removable modern "Ashtray" cover. Fender have chosen nickel/chrome hardware for the American Professional Telecaster, complementing its classic style.
To uphold tuning integrity, the Tele headstock is fitted with reliable Fender standard cast/sealed staggered tuners. The strings-through-body bridge and a bone nut help to keep tuning incredibly accurate no matter how hard you play.
The American Professional Telecaster LH MN is supplied with a Fender Elite Molded Case to protect and preserve this inspired model for years to come.
