The P Basses slightly younger and more versatile brother the American Standard Jazz Bass has proven it’s worth time and time again. Now, retaining everything you love about this legendary bass, but suiting and booting it, the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Jazz Bass features an ash body with a beautiful hand-rubbed stain, covered by a protective satin-lacquer topcoat.
Despite the inevitable popularity of this model, however, it is part of Fender’s FSR Series and is thus seriously limited. With only 150 being offered worldwide, just 45 of the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Jazz Bass model will find their way to Europe’s shores.
Neck
The Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash J Bass features a solid maple neck, with Posiflex Graphite Neck Support Rods strengthening it from the inside, and is carved with the ever-playable Modern "C" shape profile. Joining the neck is a gloss finished, maple fingerboard with a 9.5”-14” compound radius and 20 medium-jumbo frets.
Electronics
With all the growl and tonal versatility you would expect of the instrument the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash JBass features a pair of American Standard Jazz Bass single-coil pickups. Armed in the bridge and neck positions, this pairing offer warm lows, attacking mids and defined highs, with control coming courtesy of two volume knobs and a master tone knob.
