The baby of Fender’s electro-acoustic guitars, the CD-60CE somehow stuffs high-price features into a low-cost instrument.
Dreadnought Body with Cutaway
As a performance instrument, the Fender CD 60CE Electro Acoustic Guitar is constructed from the dreadnought blueprint. Possibly the most popular shape available to acoustic players, the dreadnought is so famed because of its effectual size, which gives a huge sound with robust bass and clear mids, in a comfortable shape. This has made it the go-to shape for flatpickers and strummers, who want a balanced sound whether playing lightly, or with force, but with easy-to-handle dimensions. This model also includes a cutaway, giving unrestricted access to the upper frets.
Spruce Top, Mahogany Back and Sides
A classic combination, this model takes the traditional dreadnought shape and builds it with a spruce top, with mahogany at the back and sides, and a black binding outlining the join. Spruce has been popularised because of its wide dynamic capacity, clarity, and bright tone, and with mahogany used for the body, with its emphasised midrange and warmer tone, the overall sound of the instrument is very balanced and highly usable in any genre.
The top also benefits from a scalloped X-bracing, giving it extra strength, while visually the instrument’s body is finished off nicely with a black pickguard and a mother-of-pearl acrylic rosette design.
Nato Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard and Bridge
The guitar’s 25.3” scale length is made up of a nato neck with a 1.69” nut width, topped by 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. This leads to a rosewood bridge with compensated Graphtech Nubone saddle at one end, while at the other end is a headstock with a set of chrome-finished, die-cast tuners.
Fishman Isys III System
Allowing you to hook up to an amplifier or P.A system, and really showing what the Fender CD60CE Electro Acoustic Guitar is capable of, is the built-in Fishman Isys III System electronics. Along with translating your acoustic tone into an electronic signal, this system also gives you control over your performance, right from the upper bout of the guitar, with Volume, 3-band EQ (made up of: Bass, Middle, Treble), built-in tuner, and a low-battery indicator L.E.D all within easy reach.

Perfect entry level

I just strum and do some easy arpeggios, that's almost everything I can do.
This guitar is the entry level nirvana for an entry level guitarist like me.
I find it easy to play (low action), with a balanced sound, no major flaws, with both bolts for a strap (I hate to tie the strap to the neck, so I appreciate the second bolt a lot), a good design...
Just be careful because the varnish seems easy to scratch, but maybe I am not so careful.
Just love the sunburst color.
