The Baja Telecaster represents the ultimate in versatility for the Telecaster player. Designed by master builder Chris Fleming, the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster boasts a “dream list” of specs, giving this custom ‘50s-style Tele everything you’ve ever dreamed of.
Crafted from Ash, and carved in the iconic Telecaster shape, the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster provides bright tones with plenty of sustain for that unmistakable Tele sound, thanks to the ash body.
The Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster is fitted with a strong maple neck, cut to a Soft V profile. This profile is more rounded than other neck shapes, and offers comfortable playability, especially for those tricky barre chords. A stunningly beautiful maple fingerboard accompanies the maple neck, equipped with 21 medium-jumbo frets.
Fully equipped with two single-coil pickups, a Custom Shop Single-Coil Broadcaster in the bridge, and a Custom Shop “Twisted” Single-Coil in the neck precision, the pickups provide you with that indisputable Tele sound, offering perfect clarity to growling roar. The Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster also utilizes an S-1 Switch, which, when used, gives you a whole new arsenal of tonal variety by offering extra pickup-wiring configurations, giving you even more versatility.

This is everything a great Tele should be, classic vintage looks, ash body, lovely maple neck, ashtray bridge with brass saddles for that unmistakable Tele twang! A very resonant guitar too! It can rock with the best of them!
Amazing tones from the custom shop pickups, (the same as fitted to the USA standards) overall, simply the best bang for your buck Tele you can buy!

Beautiful tone, endless sustain, perfect low action - I can't fault it.
Everything you need

This guitar is not only a beautiful piece of musical history it also sounds sublime. I don't know if I was just incredibly lucky with mine or if they all sound this good but your standard USA Tele is just not musically as good as this instrument. What can I say other than try one and listen for yourself - compare one against the other in the shop - same amp, same settings and see if I'm wrong - I love this guitar!

Finally took the plunge today and bought my first Telecaster. Went with an open mind, looked at standards, Squier Classic Vibe and the Baja. Only one winner for me, the Baja. Absolutely stunning guitar both the finish and sound. Had it at home for half an hour and managed to nail Status Quo and the Stones through a Blackstar HT5 R Head and cab. Really pleased with it. Special thanks to Dawsons staff, (especially Alan for his patience!!). Really happy with the guitar.

I own five other telecasters, all of which have their own high and low points.
The Baja's construction and finish are flawless, and the set-up was spot on. Intonation is not an issue with mine. With the three-saddle bridge, it can be a challenge, but it's part of the telecaster sound.
The 4-way switch adds additional tone choices and adds a fairly robust sounding out-of-phase middle position. The S1 switch is simply magical. It makes the pickups growl just a little bit without colouring the tone needlessly. This is quickly becoming my number one guitar, and I'm scared the others will get jealous.

One of the best guitars you could have. One downside is the intonation but this can easily be solved. Good for all types of music.

Love this guitar. I had a go for many-a-week in-store, and now I own one. Smashing!
