With more beauty and a better build than ever, the Fender Coronado bass guitar is back. Made popular in the mid to late 1960s, the Coronado family was Fender's first journey into the world of hollow-body electric guitars. Delivering a stunning tone and unique looks, this amazing range of basses are given a new lease of life for players of today to enjoy.
To kick things off, the Coronado bass comes with a beautiful, thin, semi-hollow maple body with an alder center block, and bound top and back complete with stylish 'f' holes. The 30", short scale "C" shaped maple neck has a 9.5" radius, white-bound rosewood fretboard containing 21 medium-jumbo frets and elegant and retro white-pearloid positional block inlays. Not only does this assist the Coronado in the looks department, but adds exceptional comfort, something often lacking with bass guitars.
To capture that beautiful and rich 60s sound, the Fender Coronado comes with dual Fideli'Tron humbucking pickups, one in the bridge position and one in the neck. To give you total control over the sound, you have a 3-way positional switch and volume and tone knobs for each pickup.
Other fantastic features on the Coronado include an Adjusto-Matic bridge with floating "F" trapeze tailpiece, chrome hardware and a 3-ply black pickguard. The beautiful retro finish tops the Coronado off perfectly so that a special piece of guitar history is available to enjoy today.
