The Fender Lone Star Stratocaster, as it's name suggests, is ideally suited to aggressive Texas Blues (think Stevie Ray Vaughn) and comes equipped with 2 Texas Special single coil pickups and a USA Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates bridge humbucker. These pickups would often grace guitars with a much higher price tag, so it is great to see them being offered here. This combination delivers a range of sounds that really cut through a band to get the guitar's voice across, and of course the tremolo bridge is right there to help add the wobbles and flutters. Fender ship the Loan Star Strat in a deluxe gigbag.
Modern Strat appointments are all in place on the Fender Loan Star Strat. Select Alder body, 21-fret maple neck with 9.5 inch rosewood fretboard (a maple fingerboard is not an option here) and a "C" shape suited to faster riffs and solos. A urethane finish with 3-ply tortoise shell pickguard offer a distinctive look and what has become a popular retro-fit with Strat owners.
The Fender Deluxe Series are Mexican-built with featured upgrades to add to their desirability and individuality. The Lone Star Stratocaster was released in the 1990's as a USA made instrument, offering a "hot-rodded" alternative to the rest of the Fender range. Now we see it has been brought back in all it's glory.
