Description

Details

The F-Series by Fender, recreates the magic of the original models introduced in the 1970s, with some modern day touches that make them even better. The F-1020SCE electro acoustic is designed to be taken on the road, rocked hard and played with passion.

The dreadnought cutaway body shape produces tones that burst forth with the utmost clarity. The cutaway at the 17th fret affords greater access to the upper frets, allowing you to reach every fret with ease.

The back and sides are crafted from laminate mahogany, an excellent tonewood that is characterised by its dense and rich tones. The cedar top does not offer the brightness that is generated by spruce, favouring a softened upper register and more pronounced mid-range. This makes it more suited to players who wish to fill the upper register with vocals or other instruments.

The laminated nature of the tonewoods allows them to respond very well to changes in temperature and humidity, making the F-1020SCE perfect for musicians on the move. The added layer of gloss urethane allows the woods to resonate fully whilst preserving the beautiful natural finish for as long as possible.

Solid, bent mahogany binding, seamlessly merges the top and sides to create a sturdy and reassuring feel. Scalloped quartersawn spruce "X" bracing supports the cedar top whilst allowing it to resonate freely to produce the biggest sound possible.

The robust mahogany neck is shaped to the comfortable "C" shape profile. It has also received a gloss urethane finish, making it feel very smooth and easy to navigate. This is married to a rosewood fingerboard - home to 20 vintage-style frets - which offers a luxurious playing feel. Playing this neck/fingerboard combination is dream-like, allowing your fingers to flow freely. Discreet black side dots guide your path along the neck and a unique inlaid maple Fender "F" at the 12 fret subtly compliments the sumptuous rosewood.

Fender has included hardware of the highest quality to make the F-1020SCE an absolute dream to play. A Graph Tech NuBone nut maintains string spacing perfectly and also compliments the guitar's classy aesthetic. The rosewood vintage-style Fender "Viking" bridge with compensated Graph Tech NuBone saddle, creates a seamless connection between the strings and the body to guarantee an excellent level of sustain.

The Fender F-1020SCE comes fitted with a Fishman Isys III System with active onboard preamp and tuner - an electronics system favoured by Fender as it amplifies the natural timbre of the guitar without adding colouration or distortion to the signal. At your fingertips you have access to the built-in chromatic tuner with On/Off switch - so you can rest assured that you can always keep yourself in tune. Using the Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble controls, you can easily craft your output based on your environment and whom you’re playing with - excellent for gigging musicians.

The Fender F-1020SCE is perfect for guitarists who are looking for an electro acoustic that gives them a full mid to low-end drive that allows higher register instruments to be heard or for singers to easily sing over.
