The Fender Precision Bass was the first electric bass guitar ever to be unleashed upon the world. The Inspired by this powerhouse of a guitar, Fender have created the Magnificent 7 Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass. Fender often receive requests to make slight changes to this bass, and one of the most frequently asked questions is for Fender to include a Jazz Bass bridge pickup. Consequently, the Fender Magnificent 7 Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass is sure to please many bass fans out there, as it is indeed fitted with a Jazz Bass pickup, providing you with a whole new sonic universe.
Many of the most revered Fender electric guitars and basses are constructed using alder tonewood, and this Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass uses the same. A durable, maple neck is firmly fitted to the Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass and has a modern “C” profile which feels incredibly comfortable in your hand. The Jazz Bass neck is also slimmer, thus promoting a faster action. With a 34 inch scale length and 9.5 inch radius at your service, you can make your way along the neck with ease.
Aboard the neck is a rosewood fingerboard, endowed with 20 medium jumbo frets and decorated with white dot inlays, guiding you along the frets with confidence. The satin urethane finish on the back of the neck improves your overall playing feel thanks to its smooth texture.
CUSTOM SHOP 60s PICKUPS
The Limited Edition American Standard PJ Bass is equipped with Fender Custom Shop 60s pickups; a Custom Shop 60s Split Single-Coil Precision Bass sits in the middle position, while the luxurious Custom Shop 60s Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickup is at the bridge, and this particular pickup takes primary focus. Three simple controls feature at the bottom of the pickguard, two Volume and one Master Tone, allowing you to effortlessly modify your sound.
