The Fender Standard left-handed Jazz Bass guitar in classic brown sunburst is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when vintage style and modern appointments are combined harmoniously. Upon its introduction in the early '60s, the Fender Jazz Bass was an instant hit. Since then, it has been employed by many musical luminaries, and played a pivotal role in the development of signature sounds in many musical genres, including: blues, disco, funk, heavy metal, jazz-fusion, and reggae. This model has been designed and built with the same dedication that Fender put into all their instruments, catering to the playing requirements of left-handed bassists everywhere.

Body

The lean-and-mean Standard Jazz Bass body includes the offset waist profile that was designed to better accommodate the seated playing position that jazz and blues' players adopted at the time. The body has been crafted using alder, a lightweight and tonally balanced tonewood. Alder is perfect for those who need a bass that can switch between genres with ease, and produces low-end that is swelling with energy, mids that could knock you off your feet, and highs that sing out beautifully.

Neck

The modern "C" profile maple neck has been treated to a tinted satin urethane finish, which accommodates a fast playing action that is perfect for those who like to let their fingers fly. Shaped to the modern "C" profile, it is clear that this neck has been designed with playing comfort at the top of the list. Paired with the maple is a rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 20 medium-jumbo frets that are decorated with black dot position inlays to aid in your fingerboard navigation. The maple/rosewood neck and fingerboard partnership guarantees articulation in every note before it hits the alder.

Electronics

The Fender Standard Jazz Bass is equipped with a pair of Standard Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, and new vintage-style Jazz Bass control knobs. Control is kept nice and simple, with individual volume controls for each pickup, and a master tone control to emphasise the frequency range you desire. Create a subtle blend of each pickup, or solo either one and let fly.

Hardware

The body is fitted with a 4-saddle standard vintage-style bridge with single-groove saddles to create a flush connection between strings and body. The 4-saddle setup makes it easy to adjust and maintain intonation. The standard open-gear tuning machines uphold tuning integrity with the utmost precision, allowing you to get on with what you do best - rocking out.

The Fender Standard left-handed Jazz Bass guitar has led the way in design and power for decades, wearing its heart on its sleeve and enabling bassists to play with total confidence. The brown sunburst paintjob provides a heavenly finish, and if you're looking for a reliable recording/touring partner then this model is perfect.
